MATHERN MILLS FISHING LAKES
Walking to the Mathern Mill Fishery Lakes – a gentle and pleasant 30 minute walk from the door of the Gatehouse. Dogs must be on leads once you arrive at the lakes.


- Leave the Welsh Gatehouse
- Go down drive and turn left,
- Go under bridge.
- At signpost and red dog poo bin turn left along the earthen path ///directs.innovator.departure

- You’ll come to a gate on your right, go through that ///exhale.galloped.steed

- Follow the path straight on
- You’ll come to a place ///browser.frown.exact where there is a path off to your left, which you take (i.e. turn left), and a path to your right. If you look to your right this is what you see.

- Make a 45 degree turn to the left, and this is what you will see


- You will arrive at Mathern Mill Fishery ///trickling.roofer.exists – 2 fishing lakes that you can walk around.

Mathern Mill Fishery has two lakes, one with carp and one with tench, chub, rudd and bream. Carp to 26lb.
Day-tickets are £7 and are obtained on the banks of the Lakes. You can set-up and fish before purchasing a ticket.

No need to book just turned up pick a peg and the bailiff will come to you for collection.Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a lead and stay on your peg. Please clear up after your dog.
